Capitol Equities, a commercial real estate firm based in Columbus, Ohio announces the sale of the Berry Boltworks building to a local investor for an undisclosed amount.
Berry Boltworks, located at 350 East First Avenue in the Italian Village, was originally built in the late 1800’s and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Used as a bolt manufacturing facility for over 100 years, the building was redeveloped in 2004 by Capitol Equities and its partners into a creative/loft office building. Following the renovation, the building was nominated as a finalist for the 2006 James B. Recchie Design award, given in conjunction with the Columbus Landmarks Foundation.
More information about the Columbus Landmarks Foundation and the Recchie Design Award can be learned at www.columbuslandmarks.org.
“Having successfully completed the renovation and leased over 85% of the building to quality tenants like Radio One and WSA Studio,” says Todd Kemmerer, president of Capitol Equities, “the time was right to consider selling the project. Fortunately, we were able to find a local investor who truly appreciates the historic value of the property and its positive impact on the local community.”
