In 2007, the WaterWorks had outgrown their downtown headquarters. To solve the problem, they wanted to relocate their Residential Services Division closer to their customer base on the north side of Columbus. We assessed their needs, embraced their vision, and helped them purchase a 21,000 square foot facility in North Columbus. The purchase included an adjacent parcel of undeveloped land perfectly sized to house their large vehicle fleet and has given their company ample room to grow.
When the time came to sell their central office and warehouse, the WaterWorks called us once again. The property, a 1900’s 3-story school house and warehouse, was located in an economically challenged part of town. Selling it would require a creative approach. Using our network and implementing creative marketing techniques, we structured an attractive sale which included a short-term lease of the warehouse. This option allowed WaterWorks to expand their operations without any down time.
In 2013, WaterWorks reached out to us once again – this time to find a new facility for their growing Industrial Services Division. We found an appealing property on the southwest side of the city, near to the division’s client base. We negotiated a long-term lease with an option to buy the building so that the company can easily transition when the time comes.
Partnering with us, WaterWorks now has two new facilities that support their fast- growing business. When they have a real estate need, they save time and money by giving us a call.
We’ve worked with Capitol Equities for over a decade now, and they always perform, no matter what our specific need. They stay involved in every step of the process to ensure success. Their professionalism and track record, means they’re a partner I know I can always turn to – to find our next property, sell an asset, or plan our next steps for growth.
